Au Revoir Gossip Girl

After having a day's time to reflect and have constant analyses with friends at school, I've realized the mastery of the plot that is Gossip Girl.  The episode really did deliver and I think we can all agree that we felt content at the end.  I never cry at the end of movies or television shows and I admit, I shed a few tears.  We'll never see a new episode with a leggy blonde, a head adorned with a headband fit for a queen, an extremely well dressed gent, and the groomed, arched eyebrows of Nate Archibald.  Although the series is over, the revelation of Dan being Gossip Girl has convinced me to rewatch the whole series over again.  Maybe not right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if I see S and B clashing in the first episode again soon...

Some of the many memorable moments of the final episode...

OMG. I love you Henry Bass. Total cutie. You can definitely tell he is going to have as much swag as his dad.
The gold dress is so S. I originally wanted her to be with Nate, but I am happy with Dan and Serena being together.
Aww I love them. I LOVED her dress. I have always had the dream of having an Elie Saab wedding gown.  When I saw her descend the staircase in her dress, I screamed.  I recognized the design as an Elie Saab. She wore that as her wedding dress!!! I died. Now it seems even more right for me to get a dress like that for my wedding one day.

Hope you all enjoyed the last episode.  I know I did.

XOXO Gossip Girl

A world-wide phenomenon is ending today.  Questions will be answered and the truth will be exposed.  Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that Gossip Girl ends today.  What a ride it has been.  The show, for the first three seasons, had an addictive-like quality while in the past three seasons, it has been sort of dull and repetitive.  However, not last episode--it was phenom.  I hope believe that tonight's two-hour episode will deliver and leave us satisfied.  But for now, let's look back at some of our favorite memories...

 The first episode.
The Season 4 Premiere in Paris.  The fashion in this episode was amazing.
The Season 5 Premiere in LA.  Another great episode for fashion.
Season 2 when they broke into the school pool.  Funny memories when Chuck was the lifeguard.
The infamous Hamptons' White Party.
And of course, I was not going to forget to mention Chuck Bass's Scarf.  Now that is a phenomenon all in itself.  RIP scarf.

This show has not only included an enticing story line, but has also been a complete fashion experience.

Last night, to commemorate this event, I took a bubble bath while watching the Gossip Girl Paris episode with all the lights off and a candle flickering.  It just felt right.

Gossip Girl, you will be sorely missed, but you will live forever in our hearts.

XOXO

All That Glitters

I've never been much of a glitter person, but recently I've developed a fascination for it.  A shimmery dress, shoes or eye makeup can make one feel glamorous and exude a confidence like no other.  Shimmer is the most understated way to wear this trend.  Shimmer can be worn in a basic clothing piece while sequins and glitter should be dealt with more cautiously.  Wear glitter accessories.  So basically, less is more.  A glittery belt or sequin clutch will earn mad respect from your friends.  Instead of choosing a maroon or black accessory to go with the fall/winter season like everyone else, you dared to be different and let your wild side shine through.  Not to mention, gold ALWAYS gives skin a little bit more of a golden glow.  So the next time you are rushing to get out of the house on the way to a friend's or office holiday party, choose something with a 'lil sparkle.
